“The future of education is about preparing young learners to create it.” mentioned by Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in his Special Address at Eighth edition of CII Delhi Education Summit 2025. He highlighted that India stands at the confluence of technology, innovation, and human potential, and this is the nation’s golden era to reimagine education for a developed and self-reliant Bharat. National Education Policy 2020 serves as a visionary blueprint to make learning more holistic, flexible, and future-ready, rooted in research, innovation, and real-world problem solving. Stressing the importance of embracing AI, IoT, and automation responsibly, he called for a stronger focus on teacher preparedness, experiential and global collaboration.
A CII Report “Viksit Delhi 2047: Shaping the future through Education and Skills” charting a roadmap to for shaping Delhi’s education ecosystem by building a skilled, future-ready youth was released during the Summit.
Drawing from Puducherry’s experience as a pilot state for national education reforms, Smt. Padma Jaiswal, Secretary to the Government of UT/State, Puducherry underscored the implementation of diverse educational programs that focus on mental and emotional well-being of students.
Ms. A. Srija, Economic Advisor, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India underlined the Government’s focus on digital empowerment and equal access to quality education. She highlighted efforts toward early screening for special needs children, residential schooling support, and community participation through the Vidyanjali portal, reaffirming the Government’s vision to make education accessible, equitable, and future-ready for Viksit Bharat 2047.
Mr. Rikant Pitti, Chairman, CII Delhi State and Co-Founder & CEO EaseMyTrip, reiterated that role of Education is to give direction and encourage innovation. He highlighted that Delhi stands at a transformative juncture where collaboration, creativity, and inclusion will define its role as a global education hub. Acknowledging government initiatives, he reaffirmed CII’s commitment to fostering industry-academia collaboration, skill development, and entrepreneurial innovation through its Centres of Excellence, with a shared goal to make Delhi the capital of ideas, innovation, and inspiration.
Dr. Amit Gupta, Convenor, CII Delhi Panel on Education & Chairman, JIMS, emphasized that education must go beyond degrees to build skills, values, and adaptability for a changing world. He stated that “inclusivity is not just a policy objective, it’s a moral imperative,” calling for equitable access to quality education and stronger links between academia and industry.
The summit served as a platform for dialogue on advancing Delhi’s position as a global education hub through innovation, technology, and collaboration between academia, government, and industry. The event witnessed participation from 125 stakeholders, including policymakers, education leaders, industry experts, and academic institutions, reaffirming collective commitment to positioning Delhi as a future-ready, inclusive and innovative education and knowledge hub.
