Five new courses offered by IIT Delhi that go beyond regular degrees

Although IIT Delhi is best recognized for its flagship BTech and MTech programs, it has recently added a variety of short-term, certificate, diploma, and multidisciplinary undergraduate programs to its academic portfolio.

IIT Delhi New Courses: One of India’s top universities for postsecondary education and cutting-edge research is still the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). IIT Delhi jumped 27 spots to become the top-ranked university in India and the 123rd university worldwide in the most recent QS World University Rankings 2025.

Although IIT Delhi is best recognized for its flagship BTech and MTech programs, it has recently added a variety of short-term, certificate, diploma, and multidisciplinary undergraduate programs to its academic portfolio. These innovative courses provide flexibility in learning and address new demands in the industry. IIT Delhi’s 2025 course announcement list

These are the newly offered courses offered by IIT Delhi between November 2024 and June 2025, for which admissions were either open or still available as of January 2025.

BTech in Design

  • This four-year program leads to a degree.
  • The BTech in Design program exposes students to industrial, communication, and interface design while fusing creativity and technology.
  • It is provided by IIT Delhi’s recently established Department of Design.
  • Eligibility: UCEED admission, not JEE Advanced.
  • Course Fee: In accordance with IIT Delhi’s standard BTech fee schedule.

BS in Chemistry

  • The Department of Chemistry offers this four-year degree program.
  • The basic and advanced chemical sciences are the main focus of the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry program, which prepares students for jobs in research, pharmaceuticals, and related fields.
  • Eligibility: Must be a JEE Advanced 2025 graduate.

Finance Certificate for Non-Financial Professionals

  • This course lasts six months and is a certificate program.
  • The goal of the training is to teach professionals with non-financial backgrounds financial literacy and management techniques. Through the Continuing Education Program (CEP), it is available.
  • Eligibility: Available to recent graduates and working professionals in fields other than finance.
  • Fee for the course: Rs 1,50,000

Supply Chain Management Certificate

  • This course lasts six months and is a certificate program.
  • The goal of this curriculum is to impart strategic insights and practical knowledge of contemporary supply chain operations, logistics, and systems.
  • Both recent grads and mid-level professionals are eligible.
  • Fee for the course: Rs 1,50,000

Semiconductor Technology and Manufacturing Certificate

  • This course lasts six months and is a certificate program.
  • In line with India’s aspirations to produce chips, it focuses on the expanding fields of semiconductor production, microelectronics, and VLSI design.
  • Eligibility: Fits engineers, recent scientific grads, and electronics experts just starting out in their careers.
  • Fee for the course: Rs 1,50,000

IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi offers MTech and PhD programs.

  • These are postgraduate degree programs, with MTech programs lasting two years and PhD programs lasting varying amounts of time.
  • These courses, which concentrate on data science, energy, and sustainable technologies, are offered at IIT Delhi’s new international campus in Abu Dhabi.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degrees with GATE or comparable credentials are required for eligibility.

Multidisciplinary courses for future batches have been announced.

  • Under the revisions for the 2025–2026 academic year, a variety of multidisciplinary UG and PG course choices with flexible curricula have been introduced. These give students the opportunity to design individualized academic pathways and include modules in AI, healthcare technology, humanities integration, and skill-based minors.
