New Delhi, September 19, 2025 — Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reviewed the ongoing implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in school education, underscoring its transformative role in shaping India’s future.
In a social media post following the meeting, Mr. Pradhan reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to modernising the education system and making learning more joyful, inclusive, and student-centric.
He emphasized that the NEP 2020 aims to equip students with world-class education while fostering innovation, critical thinking, and holistic development. “Children are the drivers of Viksit Bharat and Samridhh Bharat. Every student must benefit from the far-reaching impact of NEP 2020,” the Minister stated.
The review meeting focused on aligning school education reforms with the broader goals of NEP 2020, including curriculum restructuring, technology integration, teacher training, and greater emphasis on skill development.
The National Education Policy 2020, introduced to overhaul the existing system, envisions universal access to quality education, multidisciplinary learning pathways, and global competitiveness for Indian students, while preserving India’s cultural values.
With this renewed push, the Education Ministry is set to accelerate initiatives ensuring that NEP 2020’s vision translates effectively into classrooms across the country.
