In Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi gives advice to students preparing for board exams

In Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi encouraged students to remain positive and stress-free during board exams. He also addressed India’s wildlife conservation initiatives and the importance of addressing obesity.

As the CBSE board exams and various state board exams are currently ongoing and others are approaching, Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered words of encouragement to students in the most recent episode of his radio show, Mann Ki Baat. In his address to the “exam warriors”, he encouraged them to tackle their papers with self-assurance, maintain a positive outlook, and sidestep undue stress.

The PM conveyed his best wishes to students, stating that exams should be viewed as an opportunity rather than a burden.

He also talked about Pariksha Pe Charcha, his yearly interactive session with students.

Each year, in the context of ‘Pariksha pe Charcha’, we talk about different facets of examinations with our exam warriors. He expressed, “I am pleased that this initiative is becoming more institutionalized with the addition of new experts.”

‘Pariksha pe Charcha’ was given a new format this year. Our offering comprises eight distinct episodes with expert contributions. “We discussed a variety of subjects, including general exam preparation, health care, mental well-being, and nutrition,” PM Modi added.

And the previous toppers also share ideas and experiences with everyone,” PM said.

Efforts to protect wildlife, obesity fights, and more

In addition to discussions related to the exam, Prime Minister Modi highlighted India’s efforts to maintain wildlife. He recognizes the deep connection between culture and Indian nature, and shows animals such as tigers and lions in various traditions.

He praised the tribal communities for their role in conserving wildlife. Citing the BRT Tiger Reserve in Karnataka, he believed that the Sorigas coexisted peacefully with the tigers and minimized human-animal conflict. Likewise, he highlighted the contributions of the inhabitants of the GIR region of Gujarat in the conservation of Asian lions.

Prime Minister Modi also shared the inspiring history of Anuradha Rao, known as the Deer Woman in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. For over 30 years, she has devoted herself to protecting deer and peacocks and has earned respect from the community.

The Prime Minister called on people to maintain efforts to preserve and assess those who work to defend wildlife.

In addition, the Prime Minister of Modi also spoke of the urgent need to fight against an increase in the number of obesity. He appointed eminent individuals, including Anand Mahindra, Shreya Ghosal and Sudha Millthy, among others, through a post on X to defend the cause of the reduction in the consumption of edible oil. He also urged them to appoint 10 other people to further extend the movement. The message of the Prime Minister for students during the examination season was simple – stay happy, be sure and approach the exams without fear.
