The Future Leaders in Law Program at Harvard Law School is a yearlong initiative targeting first-generation students and individuals from underprivileged socioeconomic backgrounds. It starts with a weeklong residential fellowship at Harvard Law School and is followed by continued support throughout the year.

• Fully Funded: Covers transportation, lodging, LSAT preparation, and law school application fees.
• $3,000 Stipend: Awarded upon successful completion. 
• Summer Residency: Participants attend workshops, career exploration sessions, and networking events at Harvard Law School (Cambridge, MA) and Paul, Weiss (New York, NY).
• Preparation for the LSAT: features teaching from Advantage Testing, a leading test prep organization. 
• Networking and Mentorship: Harvard Law affiliates provide mentorship to fellows, who also connect with leading legal practitioners.
•  Zero-L Online Course: This course provides participants with access to Harvard Law’s Zero-L® course, which familiarizes students with legal vocabulary and concepts.
• Empowerment Seminars: Each month on a Saturday, sessions are dedicated to professional development, application strategies, and legal skills.

Eligibility & Application 

• Available to undergraduate students anticipating graduation in 2025 or 2026, as well as recent graduates (2022-2024).
• Participants need to have a GPA of at least 3.3. – It is necessary for participants to commit to all components of the program.
• Application starts on January 29, 2025, and the deadline is March 12, 2025.

Yale’s Launchpad Scholars Program

In collaboration with Latham & Watkins LLP, the Yale Law School Launchpad Scholars Program aims to enhance access to the legal profession by providing support to students during and after the law school application process. The initiative offers comprehensive financial and mentorship assistance, culminating in a weeklong residential program at Yale Law School.

Features

• Completely funded: Includes transport, accommodation, LSAT costs, and application fees.
• $3,500 Stipend: More than that of Harvard, it aids with extra costs.
• Welcome Summit: This event, taking place over two days at Latham & Watkins LLP in New York City, is dedicated to exploring careers and developing leadership skills.
• LSAT Preparation: Customized LSAT courses via Rise LSAT and LSAT LAB platforms.
• Saturday Academy: Monthly online workshops with Yale Law and Latham representatives develop important legal skills. 
• Housing Institute: One-week programmes at Yale Law School (21-26 June 2026), application workshops, field excursions among legal employers, interactions with teachers and Yale alumni.
• Message: Researchers receive guidance from Latham & Watkins by Yale Law students and lawyers. 
• Finance: Researchers will receive reimbursements for the Faculty of Law, the LSAC case and six requests for up to two LSAT administrations.

• Stop the students submitted to the Faculty of Law in the fall of 2026 to register in the fall of 2027.
