Imperial’s strategic alliance with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, which supports collaborative initiatives across several scientific fields, reflects the company’s expanding presence in India. The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, IITs in Bombay, Delhi, and Kharagpur, as well as AIIMS, are already partners in the college’s research projects. Along with being in line with the UK-India Technology Security Initiative, the action is anticipated to boost sustainable development, economic expansion, and both parties’ quality of life.
Dr. Elena Dieckmann and Professor Sanjeev Gupta will lead the new hub. Earth scientist Professor Gupta has collaborated extensively with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur on research projects related to groundwater depletion and river systems.
